Available Services

TriTown Turf & Soil currently offers a variety of services, including fertilization, soil testing, weed control, and more. Each of these services plays a vital role in enhancing the aesthetics and health of your turf.

    Soil Testing

Soil testing is essential for determining nutrient levels, availability, and pH. All are critical elements of effective turf management. Once you have this information informed decisions about strategies for fertilization  and weed control can be made. When the proper nutrient levels are present and available for uptake, you will be well on your way to having one of the best yards in the neighborhood!

    Fertilization

Proper soil fertilization is crucial for ensuring that key nutrients remain available when your turf needs them the most. Our fertilization services include applying engineered, slow-release granular fertilizers on a planned schedule throughout the year. This allows just the right amount of nutrients to reach the root zone at the optimal time of year.

    Weed Control

Effective weed control is achieved when the right combination of pre and post emergent herbicides is applied regularly either as a spot treatment or through a broadcast application. These applications, along with proper fertilization  and soil amendments, will be conducted within the appropriate application windows throughout the year as necessary.

    Turf Insect & Disease Control

Armyworms, grubs, brownpatch fungus, and gray leaf spot fungus can be devastating to turf.  In order to combat this potential onslaught each year,  turf insect and disease control applications can be made to prevent or control major infestations and outbreaks.

    Poa Control

More information about how to manage and control Poa annua is coming soon.

    Aeration & Overseeding

Aeravation and core plugging are two methods we use to relieve soil compaction beneath turf areas.  These practices are vital to developing and improving the root zone. In addition to overseeding, carrying out these aeration processes each year will improve the health of your turf year after year.

    Lawn Renovation

Renovations involve a complete kill off and re-establishment of desired turf.  When carried out with proper topsoil additions your lawn will be the envy of the town before you know it!

    Growth Regulators & Soil Surfactants

Information on how growth regulators and soil surfactants will benefit your lawn is coming soon.

    Soil pH Adjustment

A neutral soil pH is crucial for the efficient absorption of nutrients by turfgrass plants. It helps unlock nutrients that are bound to soil particles and aids in weed control, particularly against species that thrive in more acidic soils. TriTown's SPA program is designed to raise soil pH to neutral levels over 1-2 years, and is ideal for customers who are serious about enhancing the health and aesthetics of their lawn.

    Topsoil Application (Topdressing)

Topsoil can be added to improve soil structure and enhance soil microbes and nutrient availability.  More information about the benefits of topdressing is on the way.

    Irrigation Scheduling & Minor Repairs

Over the course of any given year, irrigation systems can take on damage or simply fail for any number of reasons. In order to ensure your that system operates efficiently, TriTown technicians are available to make minor repairs including head replacements or directional tuning. Additionally, we provide scheduling services that will allow recommended amounts of water to be added based on season weather conditions.
