Each of the following  programs should be considered top priorities in developing and maintaining a green, healthy lawn.  Turf care treatments will be made within a series of "rounds" which are visits made on a planned schedule throughout the year.  Each of these programs can be added "a la carte" to your individual service list, and can be billed on a monthly or quarterly basis, whichever you choose.

Fertilization & Weed Control

Every lawn needs balanced nutrient additions and weed control in order to maintain health and aesthetics throughout the year.  Immediate and slow release fertilizers will ensure adequate root development with minimized top growth to reduce thatch buid-up.  The FWC Program is considered TriTown's "core" service, and is offered as a baseline program for all customers.  11 different treatments will be applied over the course of 6 separate visits that are scheduled during each year.

Turf Insect & Disease Control

Turf insects and diseases pose the greatest risk to the health and vitality of your lawn.  The IDC Program is the most  highly recommended supplemental service program, and is made available to customers who wish to significantly minimize the possibility of damage from turf insects and diseases.  It consists of several applications from late April through early September that will prevent and control grubs, armyworms, ants, brownpatch, gray leaf spot, and many other insects and diseases that may harm your turf.

Poa Control

Poa annua (annual bluegrass) can be a very difficult grassy weed to gain control over.  It typically begins germinating close to  fescue seeding schedules, which eliminates the possibility of most pre-emergent chemical applications.  Poa seeds that dropped in prior years may continue to germinate throughout any given winter, and may not be easily visible to the naked eye until late winter or early spring.  The most effective applications are made in late winter and spring, on days when temperatures are between 70-80 degrees.  TriTown's PC Program is a supplemental program that is recommended to customers who desire a single dark shade of green tall fescue without the lighter shade of green of the Poa, or its highly visible white seedheads that ultimately take away from the aesthetics of their lawn.
